MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin popular music scene. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received the Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. This album peaked at 8 places on the Top Latin Albums charts. In the following year, he joined Ozuna for their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. He was a part of the team with Noriel for Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and next year, came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. He appeared later in 2021 in a duet with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. The year 2023 came around and the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo is a musician born in a musical home. His mother and brother were also musicians. In interviews, he described the importance of music as a requirement. As a child, he was instructed to perform on the guitar, piano and ukulele. Although he initially wanted to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that taking lessons with an Cuban singer would alter his direction in life.
