Rosalia
Rosalia Vila aka Rosalia is a Spanish Flamenco/Pop artist. Since her teen years she's embraced the edges of traditional and popular music. Additionally, she is a pioneer in the realms of hip-hop, soul and trap. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and renowned musician has described the voice of this young artist as sharp with sweetness however with a bite. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally getting an Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami is her 3rd full-length album. The album featured collaborations on songwriting with other musicians and producers, such as Cory Henry. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following the Saturday Night Live performance featuring the track Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish singer who performed solo in the program. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home an award for the Latin Album of the Year and three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami and was the first woman to do so.
